hans_janssen
Capture NX or DXO.
ronald_moravec1
Nikon NX. Google Nikon NX tutorials and you see how it works. You can also download a free 30 day trial. Photoshop elements is a decent program for the money. I use Photoshop CS3 and really like it. Lightroom is geared for volumn work.
darrenbeattyphotography
I have cs3 in my place, but uninstalled since its a monster program. I've been slacking on it cause im so used to my photoshop 7.0 and it does what I need. ONly thing I cant figure out how to do on the old photoshop is how to batch file reduce and watermark, which i know u can do with CS3. :-/
randmcnatt
CaptureNX for individual images, Bibble on Linux or XP for batch processing. We use Dxo, Lightroom and Photoshop, but not for capture.

tonybeach
http://www.bythom.com/raw.htm Personally, I prefer Capture One most of the time because its fast, convenient, and delivers a superior conversion if the exposure is good (usually not a problem for me). For special images I use Raw Magick Lite which is very slow, cumbersome, but delivers the absolute best quality conversions.
