Images recovery (CF card) - damaged .jpg files?

Recently I have deleted pictures from 2GB CF memory card which was not mine...

The camera is <b>Fuji S9600</b>. All files are <b>.JPG</b>. After I've noticed

I deleted the pictures I took out the card so that I could recovery them

without any problems. I have recovered 854 files but some of them are not

working. These are only several pictures but it would be nice if they worked...

After opening files in photoshop there's an information <b>"This document may

be damaged [...] Continue?".</b> And then there's only a <b>part of the file.</

b></b> I know that the rest of it has probably been deleted but maybe someone

knows the way to recover it.

<br>

I used <b>"File Scavenger 3.0"</b>

Don't erase anything and don't write anything to the card until all your images are recovered and moved to your hard drive.

I would try other file recovery programs until you get one that salvages the files correctly. Here's a couple free ones:

I took card out and didn't use it.

I've already tried 2 recovery programmes with the same results. I'll download the one you have suggested and try again. At least I have most of the pictures.

Maybe someone knows why thumbnails are still there if the image data are lost?

Thanks for links,

Michael

Michael......

I'm afraid this one isn't free but it saved my life when I had a 4GB card full of wedding shots :o)) My card was put through a washing machine & I tried the free recovery software ones without any luck, this one got them ALL off the card, they were all RAW shots as well, boy, it was worth the $$$$...........
