Photogenic Studiomax III 320B AKB-1 rig up...

Here's the scenario:

Looking to have usable decent Watt seconds in the field that I wouldn't have a

heart attack if something went awry, hence I own...

 

>Photogenic Studiomax III 320B kit (2 heads, stands, umbrellas,power cords, etc)

>cheapo radio transmitter w/ 2 recievers, seems to work well enough

willing to buy as long as it can be done for $80-$100:

 

>$20-30 12v 3ah lead acid battery (or whatever would make sense within the 1-3lbs

>reasonable $ ac>dc charger for said battery

>reasonable $ 2prong battery to crazy photogenic dc connection

>etc as needed (up to and including the AKB-1 BATTERY itself ($50ish?), just not

the $160 rig!)

 

what say you? can this be done within reason, or bite the bullet and sink the

$160 into the AKB-1 (ie. not the Quantum Turbo, ouch $.) you get the idea...it

doesnt seem that a used AKB-1 or Turbo can be had within a sane frame of cash

anyway.

 

The devil is in the details, 320B using the 340v dc,
