art_haykin
There are many ways to promote wedding phtography: Yellow Pages ads, tie-ins with bridal shops and other places where young women shop, local TV ads, ads in local papers, ads on local bulletin boards, flyers on car windshields, networking with other wedding servers, such as florists, caterers, DJs and bands, etc. See if established shooters are overbooked and get referrals. medina photography cherry
Mike- no answer for your above question, however I have to tell you that I tried looking at your site but the way your pictures come into focus turned me off- off your site. Just an FYI.

hannu_koivisto
Hi Mike! You have great spirit and I think your webpage is very clean in its design and especially I liked the blsck/ white section. Just wanted to add a comment on how to best market you services. You should definetly have an additional webpage where you can have more general content, where you need not worry so much about every design details etc. My option for this was to set up a blog, where I write about my services and link to my main wedding photo site. (main site is not up yet, but here is the blog as an example anyway): Haakuvaaja Helsinki If you wonder what the words mean, haakuvaaja is finnish for wedding photographer. I wish you the best of luck with serving happy wedding couples with your photographic skills. marlboro_smith
Mike, Go with direct mail. Get the Sunday paper where all your bride engagements are listed. Send out a brochure with a real photo from one of your most romantic shots on the front of it. Include your prices in the inside. Send on to every prospective bride. Always include some kind of limited time booking special. And always offer the package that no one else is going to offer. Give them a package of 100 5 x 7's or 100 8 x 10's. After i did that I never again had to go the 4 x 5 proof route. of course your photos must be good enough to do that. Never take anything with direct flash except the formals, and the movement ones. I could go on. there are so many tips, from how to organizing the reception to bringing a background for and simple one bounce flash for family portraits at the reception.
