michellemandat
I have an important gear of Nikon lenses but my favorite camera is an IST-DS. I am thinking since several weeks about mounting my excellent macro Nikkor 55 mm on a Pentax bellows or tube. Have you some ideas to realize my plan or is-it impossible? Thanks. mc2imaging
I would not try this on a location shoot, but in a controlled envrionment you can wedge an F mount Nikkor lens on a K-mount camera (I heard about this in this very fourm and tried it out with an AF Nikkor 35-70 on a Vivitar 335). If you had a K-mount bellows, you should be able to put the Nikkor on it. It does NOT lock in place, but it is a tight fit. In a studio, you probably wouldn't have any problems. The Nikkor lens mounts right hand like a K-mount, not left hand like the F. The reverse is not true, you cannot use an F mount lens or bellows on a K-mount camera.

when someone stumbles upon this exchange four years from now via a Google search, they are going to say, 'what's wrong MM? Don't have the guts to put the Nikkor on a K10D?'...
tommyinca
It is easy to mount micro Nikkor on Pentax bellow. Mount your Nikkor on a BR3 ring and mount that on a 52mm reverse K-mount then bellow. Nikkor > BR3 > 52mm reverse K-mount > Bellow > Pentax Body. Better if you substitue the Br3 with an BR6 (more $), you can then use double release and auto aperture. BR6 has cable release to stop down the lens.
