After we got back from the honeymoon we were looking through the pictures when we came across one of our male guests exposing himself. We were so mortified!"-- Heather, Durango, CO
david_garcia10
I didn't see that coming. Usually I here something like kids were playing with the cameras and stuff...
KenPapai
Mortified? I can only imagine Heather invited this guest, provided him alcohol, and now had to deal with this subhuman, totally disrespectful guest. Memo to Heather: I bet you are marrying too young too and your guests have yet to grow up. LOL!

hankins
I was covering a good friend's wedding several years ago, and I noticed their table cameras were getting neglected. They had a ton of them scattered about, and as the night began winding down, each 36-exposure camera still had tons of film left. My friend is a big practical jokester, so I took a handful of cameras upstairs to a different ballroom where another wedding reception was taking place. I mingled with the other wedding party like I was one of the guests, and then I had people use the disposable cameras to take photos of me with the other married couple... and with their parents... and with all their bridesmaids... and their grandparents. It was a lot of fun. I'd probably advise against doing this with a "real" client. :)

david_schilling___chicago_
http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00OAPU There's always a joker and almost allways a "full moon" in a shot or two.
jc5066
I thought those type of pictures were a given when those were left out.
shotbyjamie
Yeah, I'm with Jon. Are people really surpsided by this? I mean, I know my friends all too well, and there's no way I would leave out cameras for them to use.
jon_shumpert1
A few years ago I was photographing a wedding reception where they had disposable cameras on the tables. I became aware that something wasn't quite right. Several groomsmen were going to the restroom together, giggling, and each was carrying one of the table cameras. I approached the groom and asked who would be developing the photos. When he said his mom was, I told him about the groomsmen, the giggling and the cameras. He made it to the restroom in about 2.3 seconds, and came out shortly after carrying the cameras.
hooman_b
Its interesting that you title this as a reason "not to put out disposable cameras" - seems like you should rephrase it "reason not to invite idio t guests to your wedding"
steve_c.5
There are lots of reasons NOT to use disposable cameras in a wedding, but this is one more good one! Thanks!
