cfreemanphotography
I can add and adjust layers, but it won't let me make any modifications directly to the image. e.g. it won't let me dodge, burn, clone, etc. I select the tool, but it just keeps displaying the hand. I've already shut down and relaunched the program.
ellis_vener_photography
Were you in 16 bit per channel mode?
colinsouthern
If in doubt, trash the prefs by starting PS and then press and hold SHIFT, CTRL, and ALT all at once whilst the program starts. It'll ask if you want to trash them if you do it right.
babette_ross
Are you sure you have the original layer selected? If you are on a curve layer for example you would be unable to clone. (Its a favorite mistake of mine.)
underexpos
Do you have a second computer running PS (with the same serial code) on the same network? PS will open but just not do certain things. I noticed this when I installed PS on a laptop and found it only acting up when the laptop was on the same network with our towers. Just a thought. cfreemanphotography
I think the computer was just running a little slow. It's working now, although I can hear it labouring. Maybe it's time to update the RAM.
