CosteaM
Nice shots Luis, I love the way you detached the person from the background using shallow DOF in your first picture. Oh and roofs, love roofs too, old tile patterns. unfortunately one cannot find such things on this side of the pond.

luis triguez
Mihai, Thank you. It was an incredible lens. I miss it lens since the first moment I changed by other items. I show yesterday in ehBuy one Canon 55 FD 1.2 for 275 $ plus 35 shipment to Spain. Too much money. I keep a 50 1.4 which is not bad. Hope don`t get ride of it. That old church and roofs don`t exist any more. There are tall buildings in their place today.
luis triguez
Franklin, You are very kind. I was scanning this afternoon and found the guy with the beret against the Toledo wall and the second one in the same roll. The first picture never was blow up because at the first instance (more than thirty years ago) it looked too pose to me. The truth is that the man never saw me to take the picture. jeff bishop
Luis, It would be nice if the first one was composed with the man a little more to the right in the frame. Regardless, I would still blow this up and hang it on a wall. I really like it a lot.
todd frederick
Yes, #1 is outstanding. It have a very old, vintage, moody feel to it. Wonderful. I used a Canon FTb in the 1970's with much success. Very well made cameras and fine lenses. They are all wonderful and #2 and #3 are particularly well photographed. You have a very good eye for composition and timing. Please keep sharing your work. It is so good to see someone with such talent and enthusiasm, while I sit here on my butt photographing nothing!!!! ;>)
michael s.
For me, Luis, the first one has the feel of some of the extraordinary work of the Mexican photographer, Manuel Alvarez Bravo.
A fine shot. roseberry guitars
Beautiful Luis. Like the others I like the first two. As for the photo that changed your life, I first went to Spain a few years (1979)after Franco died and I can understand why that would be a special day for many Spanish people. Michael S. thanks for reminding me of Bravo's work. I haven't looked at his stuff for a long time and he is one of my favorit...along with Luis of course. kevin h. y. lui.
I think if you go to the higher place in photo two, the scene and feeling from B&W can be changed and better. The first photo gives me a small, lonely in the big world 's feeling. Great shots, Luis. I owned 2 FD lens only. They are 28-85 f/4 and 70-210 f/4. I usually use them with my Canon A-1 when my A-1's shutter is still fine. It seems that the price of FD lens does not drop but keep raising. I hope it will drop in the future time. luis triguez
Kevin, Thanks you a lot. One of the lenses I have for my F1s is the modest FD 70-210 f4. Nice lens and beautiful bokee. I`m sure you saw this one. http://www.photo.net/photo/2649801
kevin h. y. lui.
Did you visit Gene's new topic that just posted? What a historical Hong Kong made camera! It should be put in Hong Kong History Museum! I like this lens too. And it also can be used in Marco when it is set at 70mm. What a nice and well designed lens. And It is quite difficult to find a Canon made FD 28-85f/4. Mine have some smear like marks inside the lens, which should be made by the aperture blades' lubricant. (I should not talk too much FD lens in this place since it is classic camera forum.)
