Charles_Webster
Can anyone tell me the sync voltage for a Norman 200C portable flash? I have the opportunity to purchase one used at a good price, and need to know if I need an Safe-sync voltage regulator. Thanks <Chas>
Charles_Webster
Never mind, I found it. 12V Norman strobes are made by Norman Enterprises whose domain name is photo-control.com. Who would have guessed.... <Chas>
brandon.r.foster
If you look a little further, you will find that there is a built in Pocket Wizard in each of these units, and according to the information that I found, you should be able to use a PW transceiver on any channel, to trigger this unit. But, at 12v, you will need to purchase a Safe-Sync Regulator if you wish to use a sync cord instead of a PW.
Charles_Webster
The 200C I am purchasing does not have the built in PW receiver. That adds about $250 to the price of the head. I'm not concerned about the 12V sync voltage with my 30D. Thanks for the advice <Chas>
