jeffery_pool
We've all seen the 300mm with telextender shots of the moon, but with tonights lunar eclipse it'd be nice to see some photos incorporating other elements. I understand it is quite challenging to expose something like the moon in eclipse as well as a foreground but I'm sure there are some creative possibilities apart from the moon taking up the whole frame? colin carron
Some intersting ideas in this recent No Words thread. http://www.photo.net/bboard/nw-fetch-msg?msg_id=00MKtK I imagine PS was involved in some of them! Exposure will be a bit of a hit and miss business as the moon fools meters and during an eclipse the light reflected drops. Bracketing and trial and error are recommended. Stock-Photos
I suggest framing the moon with some tree branches and include some clouds. I'll be sleeping, zzz.
sandysocks
A big crop can be fun. I put a few images in my portfolio this morning, but haven't figured out anything exotic to do with them yet.
allklier
A bit more artistic interpretation. The moon was pretty high in Seattle on a very clear sky with no cloud nearby. So this was shot through the branches of a tree I was standing next to. That would require extreme DoF or hyperfocal length, so instead I took two pictures (one of sharp moon, one of leaves focused in front of moon) and then blended them in Photoshop.

The rest of the standard shots of course on my blog.
