nickc1
I want to be able to restrict the colours present in a digital image - ie remove any red from the image to simulate an ortho film, remove green as well to simulate a blue sensitive film etc before converting to mono - Any suggestions on how to do this. For software I have Photoshop CS and Elements 5 as well as Capture NX. The original images are full colour NEF or JPEG. Thanks in advance for any suggestions - Nick
patricklavoie
hue saturation could do this or in CS3 the BW tools can alos be use to do what you need in 1 step; remove color AND desaturate at the same time. Or Simply trash teh CHANNEL R, G or B directly and desaturated after.
oskar_ojala
Use the channel mixer in monochrome mode and make the input from only the blue and green channels.
sfcole
Photo Wiz has a good program that emulates all sorts of film/grains, including ortho, pan, infra-red, etc. Look for BW Styler.
