randy_bienia
Does anyone have any experience using the hyperfical charts with there 55 and 105 lens? I have calculated the hyperfocal distances from charts available on the web,but at the same time, have read conflicting info that they arent valid with some Pentax lens. What is accurate, the calculated distances,or the info on the lens barrel?
andreas_carl
Neiter one since it all depends on your own assessment as to what is "acceptably sharp".
bobatkins
You and Pentax are probably using different values for the circle of confusion size. As stated above, it all depends on what YOU (or Pentax) think is "acceptably" sharp.
gene_crumpler6
My "rule of thumb" to insure sharp 16x20's is to use 2 stops less than the DOF indicatd on the scales on the Pentax lenses, i.e, use the f-11 marks when you are set at f-22.
