paul_mcevoy
Hi there, I'm taking a 1 month hitchhiking/backpacking trip in Canada. I want to take my 5d and one prime lens (probably the 50 f1.4). I'm looking for something I can wrap my camera in and put it in my backpack. I thought I've seen camera wraps before but now I can't find anything. I'm hoping it will be something compact that will offer good shock absorbtion. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks Paul
dave_lewis
I've used the Domke 15x15 wraps available at B&H for about $15. They've worked great for airplane or backpacking trips. Cheers.
ronald_moravec1
The wraps velcrow corners. Make a diamond and undo one one corner to remove the camera. If you need more use a small bath towel over the wrap.
paul_mcevoy
Hi Dave, Will that Domke wrap cover the 5d? Just wondering what kind of camera you are covering that with. That looks about perfect. Is there much padding to it? Thanks Paul
dave_lewis
Yes. I use it with an Elan 7 (and external battery pack, which lengthens it a bit). And if memory serves, I could also keep my 50mm 1.4 on with the hood turned backwards.
