kelly_hughes
I got a few Delkin rechargeable 123a's a few months back for use in my Maxxum 7 35mm, but never got around to trying them yet (the non-rechargeable ones haven't died yet). I'm thinking about using them in my Fuji 645Zi that's arriving tomorrow, rather than buying new disposable 123a's. Anyone ever use them in their rangefinder? tak_l._poon1
While the lithium batteries (e.g. 123) are rated at 3V, Lithium ion batteries (rechargeables) are rated at 3.7V and are actually at 4.2V when fully charged. If your electronics are not designed to take a power source of this voltage, you'd better not use the rechargeables. Tak
jenny_jaques
Kelly - Tak's answer covers the battery question. I'd just love to know how you get on with the 645Zi. I was handling one in a London shop last week. I hope we see some pics some day. Enjoy! - Jenny
chris_scodellaro
I picked up a 645i about 2 months ago. It's so much fun, and easy to use. The size of the negative is awesome - I think that's what I like best about it. There are only 2 things to get used to if you haven't had a rangefinder before - remember to change the ISO when changing film (FP4+ pushed to 400 & HP5+ pulled to 125 - DOH!) and remember to take the lense cap off (I've only lost 1/2 a roll so far). I'm still getting used to these. I don't think you'll regret getting one.
discpad
Kelly, I use rechargeable 123A cells in my Fuji S2 Pro and GA645... But, my Fuji RF isn't working, because the film advance gears are stripped!! PS: I'm an electrical engineer.
