ajay_ukidve1
I mainly shoot travelogues then prepare slide shows for home or for interested groups. I shoot in RAW and then PP the shots and save as High Quality JPEGs. File size approximately 2-3 Mb. Till date I am using Power point where I insert the required pictures in the order I want, write small footnote/title, edit custom presentation, then save as slide show. While presenting I hook up my laptop to an LCD projector of at least 2000 ansi lumens and max available resolution and present the show on a screen for viewing by a group of approx 40 people maximum distance of viewer from screen is not more than 50 feet. I want to know if there is any soft ware available that is better than power point which will allow me to project the photos as slides in the order I want, advance each slide on mouse click and retain the quality I achieve and also make my work faster. Thanks in advance.
patricklavoie
powerpoint should do the job, but on mac i prefer keynote. Remember to save your image as sRGB, same size of the projector quality (1600x1200 for example) and for the JPEG no need to save as high quality...saving at quality 6-8 will be sufficient since it is only for the screen. Add a bit of sharpen and you are good to go. hope that help.
Stock-Photos
Although it's not nearly as full featured as PPT, I like Slide Show To Go: http://www.nightwatchsoftware.com/sstg/sstg.htm
