mind warp
I've noticed that one of my photos went from 20 ratings down to 7. What happened? Anyone else notice this?
aztlan5593
I came here for the same reason. I had a large number of good ratings last night and today only half are left and only the lower scores. I think it is really strange. I guess if your Photo scores too high they have to do something about it.
Michael R Freeman
"I guess if your Photo scores too high they have to do something about it." If the ratings are bogus, then yes they do (and should). http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00LySO
aztlan5593
how do you tell a bogus score from a real one. Who decides?
joshroot
I decide, it is part of my job. And it is not a specific rating or two that is bogus, it is a specific user or 20 and the corresponding 10,000 or so ratings. Some people are jerks who like to screw with photo.net, I delete them. The cycle repeats itself.
onlocation
Hi Josh, I too have had the same bogus high ratings removed yet again.I understand its important to do this. However in order to stabilise the rating system so that it is creditable would it be possible to block the specific 20 users that you are aware of before they rate any images?
