tim_miller7
I need software to put an MPG slide show file onto a DVD playable disc. What do the people in this forum use? Sonic? Pinnacle? Premiere? I have a ton of pictures I took on a 30D, then assembled them into an MPG, that I would like to be able to distribute to friends for viewing on a DVD player. my site
I use ProShow Producer. ProShow Gold does a great job as well. Joe
PuppyDigs
iDVD and iMovie came on my computer. Worked great for the simple stuff I needed to do. Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
richsimmons
You can use Ahead's Nero for this. If you really to need to author chapters, menus, etc. then i use DVD Architect. you can download trials of both, but they only work on windows.
dakotah_jackson
I asked this a few weeks ago and since have tried five different programs for the DVD's to be readable on TV players. None of the programs are readable on all friends machines. Some play on more than half but none on all we tried. Don't know why this is but sure is frustrating. roy_kasmir
I use ArcSoft DVD SlideShow, it's nothing real special but it's easy to use and so far my dvd's have work on everyone's dvd playes... so far... One thing i've did notice when i was using Nero, is if i slowed the burn speed down as slow as i could i had better luck with the dvd's working. tom_stough
Dakotah - I've had good compatibility results with Proshow Gold using -R media. I read that -R is more compatible with older players. Tom
