evan_dong1
I have several Nikon RF LTM lenses that I would like to have serviced. The majority of the lenses would required a good CLA, in which I would like to have it recolliminated, relube, and adjusted to work correctly on my M4-2. The lenses in question are as following: 50mmF1.4, 50mmF1.4, 85mmF2.0, and 135mmF3.5. One of the lens (Nikon 50mmF5.0 H-C) would however required extraordinary work. The front filter ring is dented in several areas and I would love to have it re-tune to allow filters and lens hood to be mounted on it. The thread appear to be okay. In addition, there appears to be haze and very light cloudiness (not sure if thats what it is) inside of the interior glass. Beside what I could visually see, I am hoping that nothing else would further degrade this lens any further. I would also like to my Leica M4-2 and IIIf body CLA along with the lenses. The major concern is of for the lenses. Which repairmen / women could work on the Nikon lenses and also on the LTM body (IIIf) and my M body? I have to decide to either send in everything in one shot (would of course be expensive to do!) or piece meal it out in an orderly fashion. Is Pete Smith a good repairmen for the Nikon RF lenses and would he have spare parts to swap out if needed?
vick_ko
Hmmm. For a LTM lens CLA, I'd try DAG - Don at www.dagcamera.com or Sherry Krauter at http://www.sherrykrauter.com/productsPage.php?category=leicaBoxes Vick
john_shriver
DAG has done fine work on my Canon LTM lenses, including straightening a filter ring ding on the 50/1.5.
steve_levine
Sherry will fix the M camera, and the Nikkors,(both highly recommended) but she doesn't do thread mount bodies.
