sarah_michelle_larsen
Can you recommend any good film photographers here on photo.net? I know Ian MacEachern. Is there anyone else as good? Thx.
ronald_moravec1
Been doing film 50 years, digi one. What do you want to know?
grain
Ya, whatever you need to know. There's actually many more of us than would be thought from the 'new look' of Photo.net. (read: Photo.shop) I feel like that guy in 'Serpent and the Rainbow": "Don't bury me! I'm not [quite] dead yet!".<div></div>
stembaughphotography
I do film- Don't know if I am any good or not though! Did you have a question?
Spearhead
I'm a portrait photographer, a street photographer, a professional sports and music photographer. I never thought of photographing film, it seems like a boring subject. Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal
dgfassett
Alexander, yours is only the third oldest. I have two, almost like new, December 1969 rolls of Verichrome Pan. Untouched by human hands.
yann1
Michael Ging is an excellent film photographer, I don't know if he still only shoot with films now though, why so important ?
colin carron
Baldur Birgis always shoots film using Canon FD gear. He hasn't posted for a hew months though.
Matthew Currie
One of my favorites here who posts often on the classic cameras forum is Luis Triguez.
dangoldman
I shoot with film... Though whether im any good is completely questionable as well.
grain
Well actually I created that little pic when the "Great Yellow Father" decided last year to nix the manufacture of VP in 120. joining the ranks of great films gone away. R.I.P.: APX25, Verichrome Pan, Panatomic-X, Kodachrome 25.
dgfassett
Alexander. It is a very nice photo that clearly tells the story. I just threw in my two VP122's for purposes of conversation. I think I still have a damn camera around here somewhere that uses that film.
michaelging
Thanks Yann, for the kind words. My photos in my PN gallery are all film. I shoot 10,000 or so digital work photos a year that I get paid for,but they belong to my paper. The photos in my gallery are what keeps me almost sane, as I do them for myself and no one else. grain
To be clear, it's a digital image I pasted together, not a photo. ;-) Said Film to Digital: "Obi-wan never told you what happened to your Father..."
stp
I use film. It's the "as good" part that makes my response less definite.
