david_hedley
One of my Grafmatic sheet film holders has developed a light leak which fogs the bottom 1/2 inch of the film sheet (i.e. opposite the film notch). Does anyone know the remedy to this - is it simply a matter of replacing the felt cloth backing on the metal tongue attached to the underside of the outer cover of the holder, or is the problem in the septum carrier itself? alec1
Are you saying the same septum (and only that septum) has a consistentleak? Have you taken that one out? If the rest are OK and there isno leak, it sure isn't the light trap. Since you supposedly knowwhich septum is bad (to the exclusion of the others), compare it tothe others. If deformed, that might explain it.
david_hedley
Thanks for your response - it's not a buckled septum, as it occurs across all six septums loaded.
tony_brent
There are actually two felt strips inside the magazine. Most of mine had come loose over the years with the same result. Disassembling the magazine isnt difficult. Just pay attention to screw length, etc. I used Pliobond cement to reattach them.
