alex_p._schorsch
I have some files which I can't open with any of my software. The file says CR2. Do I need a special extension for these files or do you think they don't open because they are damaged. They were either taken with a Nikon or a Canon camera, but I don't know which. Probably a Canon 8 giga SRL. Would appreciate any help you guys could give me. Thanks.

rainer_t
-- "... any of my software" Since you don't identify what exactly your software is, it's a bit hard to tell what the easiest way to open would be. If you have the latest version of either Photoshop-Elements or Photoshop, you should upgrade the Adobe-Camera-Raw (ACR) module to the latest version. That should open all actual raw formats. BTW ... a *.cr2 file is from a canon DSLR. If you just want to have a look what the cr2 is about, you could convert it to tiff with 'dcraw'. (Thats a piece of free software).
