dakotah_jackson
Have do do some passport photos for a bunch of people. Have a nice Epson 2400 printer to do the prints with. Will the Epson glossy photo paper withstand the 225 degree temperature the passport folks say the prints will be subjected to in mounting? I know the local shops where I have lived in the past have used Polaroids in a dedicated camera. I don't have it but do have the digital stuff. Will it work without problems? The passport folks I have talked to don't know much about it.
Ed_Ingold
Yes, Epson paper will withstand passport lamination, as will dye-sub prints from Hi-Touch and a Kodak 1400. I have also had Epson Gloss Premium Luster hot-mounted on foamcore without difficulty. The Epson Gloss was printed with an Epson 1270.
akocurek
I also used Epson Premium Glossy paper printed with an R1800 and they accepted it for a U.S. passport.
sher811
is this for US passports? or Canadian? just wondering because the Canadian system is different/picky and requires the name/address/phone number of the photo studio where the portraits were done etc
Ed_Ingold
Sher, Why should that be a problem. I have an address, telephone number, and if the label in my jacket is correct, a name.
sher811
it wasnt clear if the original poster was working from a store or from home or if it was for US or Canadian passport...and just from my own experience in the past 6 months applying for two passports...from the states for my Canadian children...they were super picky and one went through first try...the other took three attempts and alot of wasted time. Dakotah: is this for US or for Canada passports?
