msquarephoto
We are having problems with the Wein Safe-Sync HSHS Hot Shoe Voltage Regulator as it connects to our Rebel XTi. The accompanying cable does not remain well fixed in its receiving channel on the hot shoe. This is the second one we bought with the same problem on both cameras. Currently we have to hold tightly the cord in the channel to make sure the contact is enough to fire the off-camera flashes. Anyone else having this problem? We're going to buy a pocket wizard and upgrade our cameras to Cannon 5Ds in March.
Aoresteen
Send the cord back to Wein. If it's bad they should replace it
picturesque
Try a PC tip conditioner. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/209082-REG/Crane_SCC_PC_Tip_Conditioner.html
ed_farmer
Nadine's suggestion is a good one, but while you are ordering that, I would order a replacement cable as well. Cables are the weak link in almost all flash systems. You need to have back up cables and they, truthfully, need to be replaced regularly.
