mark_in_st._louis
I've been considering the purchase of strobe lighting to assist with indoor sports photography. My current plan is to acquire the Profoto ComPact-R 600 Watt/Second Monolight probably in the 2 light kit. My specific questions relate to the light stands. I would like to make a purchase on light stands that I would not regret later if I get into Wedding or other types of photography for family or friends.

In reviewing specifications on light stands I am intrieged by the "air-cushioned" option. I would also like to have the option of extending the stands to 13 feet. However I am finding that the closed length of most 13' tripods exceed 40". I am finding that the 38" folded length of the Pic brand light stands would make for easy storage and transport. But I'm finding very little information on reviews or opinions of these stands. My current thought is to acquire two of the Pic PP513ACSAIR - Airborne Extra Heavy Duty Air Cushioned Light Stands. Any thoughts on the PIC stands would be appreciated.
