jeff__2
My D100 often will not autofocus. This is true with different lenses attached. The only fix seems to be to remove the lens and re-atttach it several times. Then it works normally for the rest of the shoot. I don't see any defects in the connection. Is there an easy fix to this problem? Thanks, Jeff
elliot1
Not sure what the problem is, but it might be dirty contacts. Try cleaning them- people have recommended using the eraser from a pencil. I have used alcohol with a q-tip on mine. You may have to send your camera in for repair.
joseph_wisniewski
Do not use an eraser. The contaminants that it leaves behind will increase the rate of oxidation on the contacts dramatically. Alcohol (preferably methanol) and a clean, lint free swab is the way to go.
