brian_ellis19
The first sheet of paper I ran through my 3800 was Epson Premium Gloss (I think that's what it's called, it's the stuff that comes with the printer to check for ink clogs and head alignment). I never actually use that paper, I always print on matte papers. But every time I send a photograph to print the paper selected in the Epson window is Premium Gloss and I have to manually change to the paper I'm actually using. There must be a way to change the default paper selection to something I actually use instead of the first paper I happened to run through the printer. Does anyone know what it is? steven_clark
In Windows you right click on the printer in the "Printers and Faxes" control panel and hit "Printing Preferences" changing settings there will change the default settings for the system. brian_ellis19
Thanks a lot, it worked (I did have to restart the computer before it took permanent effect, just in case anyone else wants to do this).
