super baldina

Question about the following super Baldina....

This is a very nice camera to use and i am just

putting it through 1st test shots.

~1) I noticed that the focus arm is just slightly stiff.

Will this work its way out with use?

~2) The film rewind knob seems to be slightly too free,

is this normal?

For example, every once in a while you turn it counter clockwise to tight up

the film, this is normal. It seems to be just a little too slippy though.

is this typical of this camera type?

Thanks very much, and l will be sure to post some

pics from this 1st test roll as soon as l am able!

Other than that, a really neat camera to use,

with the collapsible lens and all.

Mike - this is a nice camera and a neat design. The focusing helicoid may need lubing and the rewind may need replacement from a parts camera. Mine is in mint condition but it comes with the balda's own lens. Your Radionar is a 3 element design and should give pleasant results at F/8 or smaller aperture. BTW, is your Radionar coated?

Ralph, thanks for your input.

I hope that the rewind does

not need replacing; l live in Canada, (near Toronto) .

Would probably have an easier time finding

a wild buffalo on main street than any person

able to repair this camera!

As far as l know, the Radionar is single coated

but it is difficult to garner such info on the web about this camera.

PS, and you probably know this, there are some pics

on fliker done with your camera.

Thanks again.
