Philip Freedman
I have just got my M8 back from Leica and the colour management choice is now sRGB, Adobe RGB and ECI RGB. I used to use Adobe RGB. Should I now use ECI RGB and do I need to do anything additional in Photoshop? I am a novice when it comes to colour profiles etc. Thanks Philip
eugene_scherba
Use RAW.
tonybeach
I agree with what Eugene says about using RAW, but how you manage colors after RAW conversion is separate issue. Most printers still primarily recognize AdobeRGB and there does not appear to be a lot of difference between that and ECI-RGB. The presumed advantage of ECI-RGB is that it matches printer gamuts more precisely than other color profiles, but if the printer doesn't recognize it then the colors will be botched up unless you convert them first (probably back to AdobeRGB, but sRGB for some printers and always for the web).
