bradleygibson
I can't seem to find a definitive, comprehensive source for Rollei 6000-series lens MTF information online anywhere. I've found some information on Schneider's websites, but most of Rollei's lenses do not seem to be present. Zeiss data is available, but in at least some cases, Rollei does not produce the most current version of the lens, so I am never sure if I'm looking at the right data. Photodo has some data, but it is sparse, and I'd like to see an official measurement, if at all possible. Any help in finding this data online would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Brad
geoffrey goldberg
Never found it on line. Only in brochures, esp. the older ones, mid 1990's.
jeffrypittman
Brad, I'll email a pdf file to you. It's larger than photo.net will allow me to upload here.
erik scanhancer
Hmm, if I recall correctly all my lenses came with an official MTF graph. Once I missed it in the package of a lens and complained. Rollei hasted to send me the papers. So at least this info is made available publicly. I don't have an online resource for you though. Hope Jeff's info will hold all you need. If not, I could do some scanning of the graphs.
bradleygibson
Hi, Erik, Jeff was very kind and scanned and sent the Rollei lens brochure to me via e-mail. (Thank you, Jeff.) Unfortunately I already have the catalogue, and it does not contain MTF information. :( If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd appreciate your offer to scan/photograph the MTF data. Even point-and-shoot JPEGs of the booklet pages would be just fine. My e-mail will accept large attachments (50MB OK), so please let me know what is most convenient. Thanks, guys. erik scanhancer
Hi Bradley, I went through endless piles of manuals and warranty papers and found the following MTF graphs so far: Zeiss Planar 2,8/80mm Zeiss Makro-Planar 1:4/120mm Zeiss Distagon 1:4/50mm Schneider Tele-Xenar 2,8/180mm Schneider Super Angulon 3,5/40mm Schneider PC - Super Angulon 4,5/55 Schneider Telekonverter Longar 1,4x (in conjuction with the lenses it was primarily designed for) Schneider Apo-Symmar 1:4,6/150mm Makro A visit to the attick might reveal some more, but this bunch will be quite some work to scan already. If there is any model you are not interested in, please let me know. I'll omit it then.

bradleygibson
Hi, Erik, You've provided some MTF data on lenses I didn't even realize existed (eg. the 40/3.5 Super Angulon!) If you (or anyone else) by chance has MTF data on any of the following, I would love to also see the MTF data on the Xenotar 80/2.8, the Apo-Tele-Xenar 300/4 and the Tele-Tessar 500/8. Thanks very much! Best regards, Brad
geoffrey goldberg
Erik - Wonderful. Thanks so much. Geoff PS - when you have a chance, look at the title on the 55 PCS, second image. Might need adjustment.
erik scanhancer
Geoff, you are right. I got mixed up in all those terms. Here is the correct version. 8: Schneider PCS Super-Angulon 4,5/55, side B<div></div>
tak_l._poon1
Hi, I have the charts for xenotar 80 (af version), apo-tele-xenar 300, and tele-tessar 500. But they are of a slightly different format. http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=729924 cheers. Tak
erik scanhancer
Hi Tak, Is that an entire booklet full of charts? I have never seen it. Where did you get it? Would you mind posting the missing charts as well, so that we can all collect them in this thread? Thanks for posting! Erik
