Textures?

Hi,<p>

I've been seeing a lot of recent examples of people working with textures in

their wedding & portrait photos. It's not a new thing of course, but seems

rather popular at the moment and kind of like a little trend for now.<p>

Anyway, it's just kind of inspired me to play around a little and I'd be

interested if anyone has any good tips or knows of a good online tutorial for

different techniques on how to do it. <p>

I know it's just layering patterns and/or other photos, playing with the

opacity, the type of layer filter, some selective painting, etc... and I know

like everything in photoshop, there's probably countless methods and

variations, but I'd like to see some great examples and learn some new tricks

from those who are really good at it. Post here or email me. Thanks.

I don't use them since I prefer a less adjusted shot in general.

 

However, people like Jesh De Rox live by them and in his style it looks great (opinion). You might look him up and ask.

I loooove textures :) Maybe it's a trend that'll die down eventually, but it's fun to play.

I just bought Jesh's texture CD which comes with tutorials and tips. There are also a lot of

I just started playing with them. The image below has the original PS'ed image at the top and I added a texture of a red stone wall off the mayang site Sarah mentioned above. Thanks for the link Sarah :-)<div></div>

Thanks guys! I haven't gotten the Jesh CD yet, so I can't say for sure if it's worth the price. I

loooove his work, though, so I'm really looking forward to playing with them :)

jesh does amazing work and i love the textures to a degree- i have noticed that sometimes certain texture makes peoples skin look scaley.
