bob_s__n.e._mass_
Folks- I need to change a copyright comment in the metadata from 2006 to 2007 (yes- I forgot to do that in my D200 on January 1, 2007). I've searched the archives and can't find an answer to my dilemma. I tried downloading exiftool and thought I was comfortable with dos command line jargon (I've been around computers and software since the IBM 360) but just can't figure out how to use that tool. I can't even figure out how to import a folder or jpg file into exiftool to play with the command line options. Can someone recommend an exif data editor that's windows-based (my operating system is Windows XP PRO) and easier to use or, failing that, walk me through the process using exiftool? If there's easier to use softtware, it doesn't have to be freeware but hopefully won't cost an arm and a leg. I don't have CS2 and can't afford it. I do have Photoshop Elements 2.0, however, but don't see an obvious way to edit the exif data. Many thanks in advance.
jimstrutz
Exifer is free, and is Windows based. http://www.friedemann-schmidt.com/software/exifer/
