Adobe Lightroom Printing problem

Recommended Posts

I am having a problem printing a 24x36 from Lightroom to a HP Designjet 130.

I can print a 18x24 with no problem but nothing happens when I try to print a

24x36. Any Ideas. Is this a memory problem. My computer is a Dell Dual Core

Precision 380 with 4gb ram.

I presume this is a very large file, probably at 300 ppi, using a competent printing program such as Photoshop.

You may be out of spooling capacity. When using an inkjet printer, the image is rasterized in software and stored on an hard drive designated for spooling. You may have to increase the allotted space. Open the "Printers and Faxes" applet and click on Files/Server Properties.

There could also be a limit built into your editing program or the driver itself. It's not a bad idea to read the manual.

No Answer yet But I am experiencing the exact same problem and have a Dell dual processor machine with 4gb memory

printed 18x24 ok but no 24x30 (I got an out of memory message)

Still working this out. Have over 130 gb of hard disk available.

Epson 7600 printer. I would think that Lightroom is sending the data to the printer in a different way that Photoshop does (the printing works in Photoshop) I also believe there is a buffer in the printer that might need looking at??

Probably something to do with Learning curve.

Tim, Did you get any resolution with your problem?
