andrew_ng7
I'm getting my k10d in a week and a half and wanted to know how well will my older flash units work with it. I have an AF200S that I bought years ago to use with my Pentax LX. I use to pair this with my Metz 45CT-5 but now that there isn't a sync connector I won't be able to. I guess I won't need to use the AF200S anymore since the k10d has a pop up flash to act as fill but won't this drain the battery faster? Are there hot shoe sync devices out there that will allow the use of a hot shoe flash and an off camera flash? Should I just ditch the old and go new? Can anyone explain the wireless sync option with the k10d? How does that work. Please excuse my lack of knowledge/terminology. It's been a long time since I've taken pictures just for the fun of it. Currently so far out of it. Hope I actually remember how to use an SLR. I don't regret using point and shoot digitals for the past 6 years but it is a step backwards.
