Info needed on Linhof Schneider 210 / 370 lens

I have a Linhof Schneider - Kreuznach Technika Symmar 5.6/210 - 12/370 lens.

It's in a Linhof shutter.

I got it as part of a kit and I am trying to find some info about it as well as

it's value.

I can't seem to find anything about it other than it will cover 4x5 and 5x7.

Any info is appreciated.

thanks.

This is just a farily common Symmar 5.6/210 in a custom Linhof finished mount. The

value for most would be as a common Symmar 210. Note, this is not a Symmar-S, which

is a newer lens. All Symmar (not "S") lenses were considered "convertable" and had dual

aperture scales for use with both elements, or with the front element removed, this is also

not a unique feature. For judging value, look at what Symmar 210 lenses have previously

sold for on auction sites. Do not look for Symmar-S.

There are many past discussions of the "convertible" Symmars in the archives of this forum, e.g., "convertible symmar" at

"Convertible Symmar vs. Symmar?" at

eBay is the best source for price data. Yours might be worth slightly more since it is Linhof selected, usually marked "Technika" on the Schneider made lens and Linhof on the Compur made shutter. As always, condition matters a lot.

Schneider has info on their website under vintage lenses. You can date it from the serial number table.
