How do the rebates work?

I don't care when the spring rebates start but I would like to know if you can

receive a rebate on a single item.

 

I was going to buy a new or used 20D but have decided to go ahead and buy a

30D. I am waiting for the rebates to begin till I make the purchase and that's

kinda the reason for this thread. I didn't know if I was waiting for nothing

since I'll be purchasing the camera by itself, no lens or flash.

Even with Canon's Double Your Savings, you could still get a rebate on a single item. So, historically you have been able to get rebates on single items, but no one will be able to answer for sure until Canon announces the next round of rebates.
