carlosquandt
Hello Please, first of all excuse my bad english Im using now a new Katz Eye focus screen with no prisms and the problem is the autofocus does not work very fine. It focus on the object but not precisely. And the problem persist even changing the focus area So, does anybody know what happens? Could it be problem of the focus screen (a non nikon one)? I have been using another katz eye focus screen without problems Thanks in advance, Carlos
liljuddakalilknyttphotogra
Are you sure it's put in correctly? If it's not perfectly in place it could cause problems. JMHO Lil
marco_p1
To my knowledge the focusing sensor in the D200 (and any other Nikon AF Camera other than the first F3AF) lies in the bottom of the camera, so your new focusing screen should not interfere with AF. I bet you did not set the screen properly or maybe upside-down so that the camera focuses correctly but what you see in the finder is out of focus. Goold luck, Marco
Michael R Freeman
Marco is correct. The focusing screen has zero influence on the autofocus system. Chances are pretty good that you have not installed the Katz-Eye screen correctly. Good luck.
