ernie.grimes
I am interested in purchasing a printer and software that would enable me to process and print 4X6, 5X7 and 8X10 pictures on site at ball games, school activities, church functions, and holidays at the mall. Can someone tell me what they are using to perform this type of work. Thanks Ernie

doug_axford1
Do a search on this forum, discussed many times. Dye-sub comparisons are here, also a great place to buy. Most pros avoid inkjet on site due to slow speed and dust problems. They are cheaper by far though. http://www.eventphotomarket.com/ExtraPages/Comparison_Chart.html Doug
phoneguy
Inkjets are too slow, you'd need 10 of them to keep up.
nolefan32
PC Magazine has reviews of various photo printers outlined at: http://www.pcmag.com/products/0,,qn=All+Photo+Printers,00.asp C/Net also has a list of photo printers they've reviewed, at: http://reviews.cnet.com/4323-6528_7-6509068.html?tag=txt Also, Consumer Search is a good resource, taking reviews from a myriad of sources and then selecting the best of the best based on which items had the most other reviewers giving it good scores: http://www.consumersearch.com/www/photo_and_video/photo-printers/index.html Like most anything else, the answers will change five minutes after someone posts the current best, as new and improved machines are constantly being released.
