maclean
I am looking to rent a Mamiya 7II (or 7) for a day or two to see if it'ssomething I'd like to buy.. Unfortunately Penn Camera doesn't rent them anymore.I'd really appreciate it, or maybe if you don't want to let a stranger take itwe could meet up for some shooting in the city? stwrtertbsratbs5
You could just buy a nice used one from keh.com. They have a 10 day return policy with no restocking fee - the shipping cost will be less than renting.
maclean
I may do that.. had good experiences with keh before. thanks.
stephen_w.
Is that ethical?
stwrtertbsratbs5
KEH offers a 10 day return on used equipment with no questions asked - as long as you return it in the same condition. That's their policy - ethics have nothing to do with this. besides, it's smart business - how many people would be able to return a Mamiya 7 after seeing the results it produces? stephen_w.
"...how many people would be able to return a Mamiya 7 after seeing the results it produces?" Unethical people.
archie
Purchasing, the intent is to keep the product unless something is wrong with it. Renting, the intent to use it for a specified amount of time and return it. Yes, it is unethical to purchase one from KEH with the intent of returning it.
