josphy
Okay, so the flash on the K100D can sync up to 1/180th of a second, but itdoesn't seem to be possible to set the camera to that speed any other timeexcept when the on-camera flash is popped up. I have a little hot shoe-pcadapter that I use to fire my studio strobe, and I can only set it to 1/160th ofa second. I want my 1/6th of a stop! Seriously though, it's not a big deal at all, butjust something that got me curious if there is a way to do it? I assume if youattach something like an AF360 or AF540, you can get 1/180th? sfcole
try changing the stops in the menu--you can do 1/2 or 1/3 divisions
strpichu
No menu needed in A or M mode! :)
josphy
Oh of course! Duh! I set it to 1/3rd stops a long time ago, and forgot all about that. 1/180 is 1/2 stop between 1/125 and 1/250. Vid, I'm sure you're right about A mode -- it will steplessly adjust the shutter speed, but in M mode, it either adjust in 1/3 increments or 1/2 increments, so you do need to change the option in the custom settings if you want to set it to 1/180th second.
