paul_neuthaler
For my "new" IIIF RD, I wanted a wide angle to go with my classic 50 Elmar, and I saw that Stephen Gandy at Cameraquest is liquidating these -- $245, including finder! Too good a deal to pass up. Here are two first shots. . .<div></div>

ronald_moravec1
Worth every penny and most likely better than any screw mount 24/25 I could get for a Barnack and I have two. Is the Leitz 24 better? Yes. But it won`t go on a Barnack and mine was supposed to be a small carry daily replacement for 21 and 28 Leicas which have not seen the light of day several years now. dan flanders
A lot of people are reluctant to use this lens because it isn't RF coupled. It's a shame because it is so easy to scale or zone focus. You really have to try to make a pic out of focus! Set it on the hyperfocal distance and shoot away and it's surprizing just how many keepers you'll get as easily as if you spent a lot of time focusing! I don't normally cotton to WA's but this little jewel is great for architectural interiors! One of the best bargains I've encountered in years! kentigern
I have one and am really pleased with it - the scale focussing is a joy and the results excellent. It goes very well with my IIIa.<div></div>

ronald_moravec1
Looks like they are finding use as screwmounts.
dan flanders
I could never understand why they didn't make all the Leica lenses LTM with an adapter (like some of the early lenses for the M's). Sure, they would have been a bit more costly but wouldn't it be nice if all Leica lenses could be used on M's as well as Barnacks?!
jean_moxhet
That lens is one of my favorite on both my IIIf BD (it stay quite all the time on that camera) or BessaT. Never had a problem with non coupled rangefinder! Jean<div></div>
