Repair shops in Minnesota??

I had a friend that used to send cameras for repair and cleaning to a shop in

Minnesota but I can not find this place or any other reputable repair shop for

older cameras in Minnesota. Does anyone have lead for me?

My friend had k1000's repaired there. I am looking for a trustworthy place to

have my Olympus Pen FT, CLAed and the film countered fixed, so it has to be a

shop which can handle the chore and is comfortable with older mechanical

cameras. Any help would be much appreciated, a name and the city location

would probably be enough to get me started. Thanks!

Hi Johnny, I am from Wisconsin and get to Minneapolis once in awhile to visit friends, and my wife is from Duluth. In my travels, I THINK you might be referring to National Camera Exchange. Just Google for the website. They have several stores in the twin cities area, and hopefully this is what you are looking for!

Have Fun, Mark

Hi Again Johnnie....Two other options...

1.KEH.com...countless testimonials on pnet about them. I know they repair cameras and most of the catalogues have a 10.00 off coupon in them.

2. BDC Camera repair...Madison, Wisconsin. (www.bdccamerarepair.com)

Mark- I will give them a call. I knew about them and thought they might just be a retailer. I will give them a call and see if they do repairs and cleaning, if not then maybe they know of a place. Now that you mentioned KEH, I remember hearing about them. Thanks for the leads!

The Twin Cities are near Menomonie, Wisconsin, where Paul Ebel is located. He can service and/or repair most any camera. His workmanship is of the highest order and his prices are reasonable. Others on this forum can attest to the quality of his services. A fine gentleman, indeed.
