reciprocityimages
Hi All, I'm in a position to be able to sell some prints in the very nearfuture, the only problem is that I have no prints as of yet to sell! So, as there is no lab in New Orleans that I trust to send my colorwork to (I do all BW myself), I'm looking into on-line (mail in) typesolutions. What I am looking to get done is about 15-20 digital enlargements madefrom both DSLR photographs as well as images done from scanned colornegatives. The sizes vary from 8x10" up to around 24x36". So, anyone have some positive experiences with someone they canrecommend? I'm concerned about quality (color and resolution) as wellas archival sustainability. Also, price is (as always) somewhat of asignificant factor. =) I'm not rich by any means! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm just a bitlost in this digital world I suddenly find myself. Also, I'm about tomake a substantial investment here, and I'd like the end result to beas high of quality as possible! Thanks in advance everyone! -Jason
Ed_Ingold
If you work in a color managed and calibrated environment, you can get good prints from nearly any mini-lab, not to mention the on-line processors like MPix.

dave_redmann
Jason, have you tried Professional Color Service in Metairie? I find they generally do good work, and their main problem is that their regular service is on the slow side. That said, Shutteryfly (Fuji Crystal Archive at 300 ppi) and Mpix (Kodak professional color matte and metallic paper and Ilford RC B&W paper at 250 ppi) do good work at reasonable prices. If money isn't an issue, I would try A&I or West Coast Imaging.
jschiro
I haven't used them since pre-k and I only used them for portraits no larger than 8x10. So this is less a recommendation than it is a possibility. http://www.primarycolorlab.com/ 1116 Magnolia St. ~ New Orleans, LA 70113 504-581-3444 or 800-535-7799
