paul_chan4
My friend has an Xpan which he used infrequently. During the last usage the loaded film wound to its normal ready position with the counter set at "1". He could not press the shutter and get the shot. Trying out with a new set of batteries do not resolve the malfunction. Any useful tips to diagnose the issue is appreciated.
stuart_richardson
I would just rewind the film and try again. Then you can see whether it was just some sort of weird misload, or whether there is something else amiss. If it won't let you rewind the film, you are going to have to sacrifice the roll and just open it up and take it out. Perhaps it caught on something and is preventing the camera from winding. Other than that, I don't know what to suggest.
ilkka
I have had XPan die on me like that a few times. Sometimes it helps to take the batteries out for a while. Sometimes you need to remove the film and start over. Couple of times I needed to send it to service and they either fixed it or gave a new body.
