einav leshetz
I'm just about to start backpacking and i want to get one of those photobank or photobooks- im not sure what its called, to store my RAW files during my travels. Which product (brand name + product name) do you reccommend? I actually didn't know they even existed so I have no idea which to get. I know there are heaps out there but I am not sure if they all read RAW and if they are relieble. This is for my Canon 30D.I'm already into my travels. I'm currently in Israel and will be heading to Europe soon so hopefully I can get a decent product. Thanks!!!!! Nav
jirka_vejrazka
I'm happy with Epson P-4000, I believe new versions P-3000 and P-5000 are now available. Check this out: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0609/06093004epsonp3000p5000.asp
vivid_earth_photographics
I own the Epson P-3000 which is great but too heavy for hiking. And you don't need a view screen--just a portable hard drive backup. I recommend a Wolverine. About $200 for 80GB. When I travel, I use both so that I have redundant backup, but I don't walk around with the Epson.
Charles_Webster
The Epsons are nice, but pricy. If you don't need a screen to view your pictures, and just want to store them, the HyperDrive HD80 has a good reputation, but is out of production. The current device from that company can be seen here: http://www.hypershop.com/shop/ No connection, just a satisfied user of the HD80. <Chas>
