alexander_illich
So leica users i know tell me that you can remove framelines in the rangefinder/viewfinder but does this work in reverse. I would finally like to invest in my first leica, I plan to buy a M6 Classisc (black) and a 40mm Summicron, is it possible to get the framelines added for the 40mm or is it easier to just think a little bigger than the 35mm framelines. Sincerely, Alex I.
andyaitken
It is not possible to add 40mm framelines. The good news is that the M6's "35mm" framelines are much closer to 40mm than 35mm. You can modify the 40mm Summicron to bring up these framelines. A search here should tell you what you need to know.
Troll
The 35mm framelines on M6 match almost perfectly with the 40mm lens at real working distances (6 feet to infinity).
