ImagePrint and custom profiles

Has anyone created custom profiles to use with their ImagePrint RIP? How much

better were the custom profiles compared to the canned profiles that come with

ImagePrint? I use Moab Entrada and Breathing Color Canvas and am happy with

the results I am getting from ImagePrint, but am wondering if creating a

custom profile will give me any noticable improvements.

I haven't used custom IP profiles myself, but Andrew Rodney, the Digital Dog, told me in an

email that his custom profiles improve saturated blues on IP.

We tried one custom profile with our Epson 10000 and ImagePrint and it was remarkably better than the canned one, and we thought the canned ones were good. We now use them for every surface. They are well worth the investment.

I got significantly better reds with custom profiles with ImagePrint on my 2200 compared to the canned ImagePrint profiles. But I found that the canned profiles were sometimes better in the greens. Guess it depends on the image!
