engelgrafik
Hello all, have a basic question for those of you familiar with the 558 and 758. I am trying to make the decision between the two and would like to hear if some folks have a preference, or know of a situation in which one would be way better than the other. For example, Sekonic describes the 558R as: Radio Transmitter Built-inWireless triggering and measuring of flash up to 100 ft. away. While the 758DR is: Wireless Selective Quad-TriggeringWireless triggering and measuring of flash up to 100 ft. away (PocketWizard compatible) Does this mean the 558 is not Pocket Wizard compatible? What is the difference between the 558R having "built in radio transmitter" and the 758DR being having "wireless selective quad-triggering". Let's hear your thoughts on this and other things that are different between the two.
BrianS1664879711
The L-559R is Pocket Wizard compatible. I believe, but not 100% certain, that the radio control module is the same. ...

michael_notar1
both should work with the PW, the 758 is more suited for the multimax series where they have subchannels to group certain recievers together and do many complicatedd things. the reg PW has 1-4 chanels the MM has 1-32, so 1-4 channels on both models are the same. engelgrafik
Picked up the 558R and I love it. It is amazing. The spot meter rocks.
