hxt
I Bought an M42 last year, it is missing the plastic tip from the film advance lever... i grabbed a mini softie from T. Abrahamsson and have been using that, but of course it doesn't stay put...... if anyone has one or a source ( I tried Kindermanns) please let me know, Harv. billsr
If you can't find a plastic tip, ask about replacing it with a lever from M3 or MP. There is no plastic tip, the end is serrated and the piece looks a lot better, IMHO. Best, Bill
mario_mazariegos
Might want to try Sherry Krauter or call DAG, they may have one for you. Good luck!
vick_ko
Call DAG, he will likely have one. www.dagcamera.com
dsquires
When I first got my M4-2, I thought there was something wrong with that plastic tip. It just didn't felt natural to me, so I put electrical tape on it so it wouldn't pivot. It's been like that ever since. I agree with William and would suggest getting a replacement arm from a different model.
hxt
I like your idea, Wiliam.... Looking at my M3, I realize that the advance lever is just one of the things I favour from the m2-3's over the more 'modern' itinerations..... found one on DAG, as well as another few things I would like....... as well as a few other things I would like...... Awww shucks! I guess it's time to put some of that Screwmount stuff up for sale!!!
james mitchell dc
I have a spare M6 lever somewhere. If you want it, feel free to contact me.
Rob F.
What William Hoffman said. Here's my M6 classic, hot-rodded by DAG with an MP style winding lever. These don't break! The plastic tipped kind don't often break, but the straight metal ones never do.<div></div>
