gdi
I just bought a used CPP-2 processor and everything seems to work properlyexcept it will not heat the water. I tried resetting the overload switch and I think I did but I can't be sure. Thereset seems to be on the left end of the machine and accessible via a hole inthe housing. These is a little silver metal slide switch I believe that willslide toward the back of the machine and stays there. I have no manual and have been using the resources on the Jobo site. That infoseems to indicate that the reset is on the back of the machine and is a whitebutton. I suppose I have an old model of the CPP-2 and the switch design haschanged. Is anyone familiar with the CPP-2 and the reset switch? Is yours on the side orback of the unit? Any tips for me which may confirm whether I need a new heatingelement or not, (like how to test it?) thanks!Gary
david_starr3
Does the water pump and rotation motor run ok? How about the temperature display; is is stable, or do the numbers jump all over the place? It may be nothing more than a blown fuse, or it could be the heating element itself, or one of the PC boards. Download the manual from www.jobousadarkroom.com and read through the troubleshooting section. Information about the fuses is there. Hopefully, it's not a pc board, they're VERY expensive. gdi
Thanks David - I did resolve the problem, the reset switch had become dislocated during shipping. I took the cover off and repositioned it and it is fine now.
