I just ordered and received some products last week. I however got a wrong piece (blame is 50-50) and e-mailed him. Morgan replied immediately, apologized, and said he would send the replacement in a week or so. He said he would be out of town for a week. His site is down as of the time of this post. I assume he is unaware, as he is not around. As far as I know they are still in business.

The e-mail address if you need it is:

info@cameraleather.com

Same question came up on the MF forum -

I did a whois lookup on the "www.cameraleather.com" TLD and... it doesn't appear to be registered anymore. Looks like the owner forgot to renew their domain name registration!

It may be worthwhile checking out their cheaper competitors, Aki-Asahi:

Whoa! . . . last time I looked (2 min. ago) it was still registered to . . . ME. (No offense, Andrew :)

Since late Saturday, this has been a nightmare for me and all the other clients of Powerful Hosting. It started when a few complex sites crashed on IE7 becasue of some lapsed security certificates. My site limped along fine for awhile on account of my Neanderthal HTML. We are in the midst of prying my domain away from Powerful Hosting, and any suggestions from PNetters for a reliable hoster would be appreciated.

In the mean time if you need to reach Cameraleather please contact me at cameraleather@comcast.net And please tell your friends!

Cheers--Morgan

Good to hear you are still around Morgan!

I wasn't being mischievous about the Whois record. You can check

it yourself at:

http://cqcounter.com/whois/

Enter "www.cameraleather.com" as the domain and jump through the hoops... and you'll see there is "No Record" for this domain.

I've had my sites with Bluewho.com for a few years now. Not perfect, but affordable - $US 20 per month for Plan 1", which has 2GB of disc space & 30GB of bandwidth.

Andrew,

Thanks for the BlueWho tip. I've had a bunch of suggestions. There are just too many choices, really.

You are right, sort of, about the WHOIS lookup. Network Solutions won't respond to the more active WHOIS portals because they are mostly used by bots to harvest data. You can find me at Network Solutions own portal, or from domaintools:

FWIW, I got a beautiful leather cover for my M2 from Morgan and cannot be happier with the results. The fit is perfect and the old clicker looks like something out of the a la carte program (dark brown lizzard). The price was also more than reasonable, specially considering that the leather is custom cut to accomodate the several dozens of leica patterns and in any material you choose. How cheaper do you want to go on your camera? Just think the thing will be wearing that suit for a long long time.
00Jx2h-34973184.jpg.386df19c0de0449c1ffa7b957afd407c.jpg
